Psychological trauma work is my specialty--regardless of its origin: combat, other government operations, rape, sexual assault, child abuse or neglect, EMT or ER work, search & rescue personnel, fire fighters, accidents, traumatic loss, secondary or vicarious traumatization, complicated grief, or other sources leading to PTSD or Acute Stress Reaction or Combat or Operational Stress Reaction. I also have additional training in, and enjoy doing, couples and family therapy and general counseling on a variety of matters. I have specialized training in CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), EFP (Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy), and REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy). Before finding my true calling in this work, I was another type of counselor, a trial lawyer, for 18 years.
